My desire through my photography art is simply to bring a smile to peoples faces. For people to see an image of mine and for it to simply bring them joy in that moment. Last year I had the pleasure of travelling through Vietnam for a short period of time. During this time, this dream was again reinforced to me, the joy that taking an image of someone (to us no big deal) and sharing it with them and their family brought so much joy and happiness. I just knew I was on the right path with what I was doing.
I am very much an on location, natural light photographer. I love photographing people at all stages and telling their stories but I do very much have a huge soft spot for little newborn babies and children.
Who is Mary Wheatley you may ask, well I am a happy fun photographer, mother, and wife. I love bushwalking (otherwise known as waterfall hunting to my 2 girls), scuba diving, going to the theatre, reading, and moonlight walks along the beach. I love to travel and explore new places.
I would love to meet you and your family and learn your story and then to tell your family’s story through photographs, so that every time you catch a glimpse of your images, you are transported back in time to the memories of life at the time.
