Today was definitely one of those proud mum days π
Over the years I have watched and enjoyed seeing Elizabeth blossom into the most beautiful, loving, caring young lady I have known. Everyday I see her confidence grow a little more every day. She is my quiet girl. Often Charlotte demands to be the centre of attention…. but today was Elizabeth’s day to Shine and Shine so bright she did.
9 months ago, Elizabeth started horse-riding. Here she found her passion, the thing that brighten-ups her life. Β She loves everything about horses and every week the highlight of her week is her horse-riding day. Not only does she love riding, but she loves brushing the horses, walking them, feeding them, even picking up the poo. It’s taken her a while to build her confidence, to not be so shy around the horses and to take control and show them who is boss.
Elizabeth, today, competed in her first horse-riding “Hacking” competition today at Chebron Waters. After riding Toby in class last week, and having so much fun on him, he was her chosen horse for today’s competition. Toby today tested my little girl. He was pushing her boundaries to see how much he could get away with. Yet she took it in her stride and pulled him in to line and made him do as he was told. Today I witnessed just how far my darling girl has come as she confidently rode in her competition. She showed us how she got him to walk, then trotting in a figure of eight, cantering in a circle, halting in between the cones and then to walk backwards. And for her hard work she scored her first, FIRST place!!!!.
My darling girl, I am so proud of you xo
